About Me

Hi! I’m Eddie.

I received my Ph.D. from Purdue University in 2020 under the direction of Bernd Ulrich. My dissertation was On the Defining Ideals of Rees Rings for Determinantal and Pfaffian Ideals of Generic Height.

After receiving my Ph.D., I was a Visiting Assistant Professor at Grinnell College for two years.

Currently, I am a Visiting Assistant Professor at Colorado College.

Eddie stands smiling in front of the quad at Colorado College's campus, with his hands clasped. In the background is a hazy view of the mountain range, including Tava (also known as Pike's Peak).

I believe that everyone is capable of learning mathematics given the proper resources and that mathematics can be very enjoyable if you interact with it in a way that makes sense for you!

When I’m not thinking about math or teaching, I enjoy exercising and playing video games (though I do not play video games nearly as much as I used to!).

The sun glows on a frosted mountain range, hazy in the background beyond some plains and trees.

A photo I took of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains from the Colorado College Baca Campus, where the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science held a collaborative research retreat.
